Florence Jean Huffman

Florence “Jean” Huffman, 73, of West Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at her residence. 

Everyone that knew and loved Florence knew her as Jean. She was born on June 7, 1950, to the late Ed and Mildred Andrews. She graduated from Logan Hills and soon met the love of her life, the late Richard “Rich” Huffman. They had 3 beautiful children together. Daughter, Debie (Bret) Smith, and two sons, Richard Huffman and Johnny (Tracy) Huffman. Her kids were her life. 

In her earlier years she enjoyed working at Kroger, where she retired from. Jean loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren, Audra Smith, Bryant Smith, Cassie Smith, Alyssa Goodrich, Jordan Moon, Chris Huffman, and Rachel Huffman; great grandchildren, Liam (her Lil’ man) Tatumn, Raelyn, Kota, Khalil, and Khalani. She was the matriarch of their family. 

Jean has several brothers and sisters, Helen Abbott, Ralph (Grace) Andrews, Charles (Connie) Andrews, Arlene (Chris) Knopp and last but not least, Hoss (Lori) Andrews; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Beth Poland.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, West Liberty. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 19^th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Middleburg.
