Florence M. Oliver, 88, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Heartland Care Center of Bellefontaine.
She was born in Frenchtown, Ohio, September 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Joseph and Orpha (Barga) Goubeaux. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Laux, her second husband, Robert Oliver and a brother, Francis Goubeaux.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Bonnie) Laux of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Diane Oliver (Don Hensley) of Bellefontaine; a granddaughter, Angela Crisler of Kettering, Ohio, and her grandson, Joe Oliver of Bellefontaine.
The only thing Florence loved more than gardening and needle point, was spending time with her family. She was also an avid lover of music and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time watching birds with her cats.
Deacon Harold Dipple will conduct the funeral service at 10:30 A.M. Friday, May 11, 2012, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Celina, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Logan County Humane Society or Heartland Care Center of Bellefontaine.
Arrangements were handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
