Frank Brown

Frank Edward Brown, age 78, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at his home.

He was born April 17, 1936 in Bellefontaine, a son of the late Edward and Edna B. (Durflinger) Brown. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Doty.

He was the owner and operator of Brown’s Washer Repair and was a mechanic at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio.

Survivors include a brother in law, Bob Doty of Bellefontaine; nieces and nephews, R. Mike (Rebecca) Doty of Bellefontaine, Janice Kelly of Sidney, Ohio and Cathy Doty Herford of Bellefontaine; great-nieces and nephews, Amy Doty, Chad Doty, Jeremy Herford, Brianne (Adam) Smith, Alana Vrooman, Christina Mead, Savannah Godwin, Kylie (Nathan) Howard and Jessica Doty and twenty five great-great-nieces and nephews.

Frank was a 1954 graduate of Washington Local High School and a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was also a member of the Masons, the V.F.W. and a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine. He enjoyed cars, fishing and hunting.

Mr. Brown was cremated. A graveside service will be held at the New Philadelphia Cemetery Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Deacon Harold Dipple officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Logan County Veteran's Honor Guard.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
