Frank L. Dinovo Sr., 89, of Bellefontaine went Home to be with his Savior Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Delaware, Ohio on December 13, 1924, the son of the late Frank and Augusta (LaMantia) Dinovo.
On December 29, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois he married Angelina “Angie” Rose Saccotelli and she survives in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by two sons; Frank L. (Vicki) Dinovo, Jr. of Bellefontaine and James F. (Andrea) Dinovo of Streetsboro, OH, three daughters; Rose Ann (Don) O’Rielley of Dover, OH, Donna (Dave) Hill of Bellefontaine and Connie (Mike) Caradonna of Columbus, OH, one brother; Leonard Dinovo of Bellefontaine; nine grandchildren, and four great grandsons, a sister-in-law, Freida (Mike) Randazzo, two step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, August “Gus”, Ted, and John, one sister, Josephine, and a granddaughter, Lisa in 1987.
Frank was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bellefontaine. He was a long-time business man in Bellefontaine, where he started and ran several businesses including two gas stations, a taxi business, Safety Center where he serviced vehicles, a GMC Truck Dealership and most recently Past-President of Dinovo Chrysler Dealership. He was an avid woodworker and handy man and made many treasures for his family.
Father Patrick Sheridan will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be Friday at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, from 5 to 8p.m. Entombment will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery with military rites provided by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.
