Franklin Tolbert

Franklin T. “Bud” Tolbert, 77, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away at 12:25 A.M. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Fair Haven Shelby County Home in Sidney, Ohio.

He was born in Kimbell, West Virginia April 27, 1935, to the late Clifford G. and Cecil Gibson Tolbert.

On January 9, 1971, he married the former Deloris Shortridge and she survives.

He is also survived his sons Robert Tolbert of Sidney, Ohio and John Tolbert of Hemet, California; four grandchildren, Sara Ann Tolbert, Ryan Tolbert, Kaitlyn Tolbert and Emily Rose Tolbert; a sister, Patty (Clint) Ratliff of Grundy, Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by ten siblings.

Bud retired from Airstream in Jackson Center, Ohio after thirty five years of service. He enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing.

The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center, with Pastor Sylvia Hull officiating. Calling hours are Monday, January 7, 2013 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The funeral arrangements were handled by the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Home in Jackson Center.
