Frederick Lloyd Cockerell

Frederick Lloyd Cockerell, 76, of Bellefontaine passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, unexpectedly, at his residence.

He was born in Bellefontaine on June 28, 1941, the son of the late William L. Cockerell Sr., and Evelyn (Fornash) Cockerell.

On July 27, 1989, he married Phyllis Sarah (Chamberlain) Cockerell in Bellefontaine and she preceded him in death on July 28, 2010.  He is also preceded in death by twin sisters and a brother, Russell Cockerell.

He is survived by two sons, Larry (Sonya) Chamberlain of Indiana, and Steven (Amy) Chamberlain of Urbana; two daughters, Sarah Cummings of San Diego, California, and Deb (Andy) Hughes of Bellefontaine; brothers, Bill Cockerell of Sidney and Steve Cockerell of Marion, nine grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Fred was a life-member of EAGLES #2166, Bellefontaine, and enjoyed talking on his C.B. radio and fishing.  He also enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling.

Pastor Ron Irick will conduct the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
