Fredrick J. Eads Jr., age 87, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine.
He was born July 17, 1927, the son of the late Fred Newton and Florence (Hullinger) Eads.
On August 23, 1948, he married Edith “Jackie” Marie Jackson in Huntsville, Ohio and she preceded him in death January 6, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Rea.
He is survived by his son, J. Clayton (Barbara) Eads of Westerville, Ohio and two granddaughters, Jaclyn (Brett) Perucki of Columbus, Ohio and Jessica (Ryan) Hamill of Sunbury, Ohio.
Fredrick was a 1945 Zanesfield High School graduate and served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947, including a tour in Korea. He was a mason with LPZ Construction from 1948 until his retirement in 1987. Fred was a member of the Zanesfield United Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
There will be a private graveside service with interment at the Bellefontaine Cemetery officiated by Pastor Gene Phelps.
The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
