Gail E. Harman, 74, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at her residence. She was born February 17, 1936 in Bellefontaine, to the late Paul and Georgia (Wortman) Burton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Harman, whom she married December 20, 2003 in Wear Valley, Tennessee. Also preceding her in death was a step-son, Thomas Harman; a brother, George William Burton; and a sister, Patricia Bobon.

Surviving is a son, Lial (Christina) Thompson of Louisville, Kentucky; daughters, Lisa (Michael) Yoder, Lori Harshbarger, both of Bellefontaine and Lani (Greg) Lambert of DeGraff, Ohio; step-sons, Chuck Harman of Orlando, Florida, and Gary (Jenny) Harman of West Liberty, Ohio; brothers, Rick Burton of Huntsville, Ohio, Mike Burton and Ben (Kay) Burton both of Bellefontaine; sister, Bonnie (Mike) Fogle of Toledo, Ohio; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She retired from Glacier Diado and previously worked for CTS in West Liberty and Drackett in Urbana.

A 1954 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, she was a member of First Friends Church in Bellefontaine, the Red Hat Society, Harrison Grange, Mary Rutan Hospital Guild and the Friendly Senior Center. She enjoyed reading, the Cincinnati Reds, traveling, family and friends, and her two cats.

Rev. Casey Storm will conduct a memorial service at 4:30 P.M. Sunday, August 8, 2010, at the First Friends Church in Bellefontaine, where a meal will be served following the service. A private burial will be held at a later date.

The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine handled the arrangements.
