Gary Dowler

Gary E. Dowler, 76, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. He was born August 2, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Gey Edward and Audrey (Coates) Dowler.

On September 22, 1984 he married Johnie Posey in Bellefontaine and she survives along with 4 daughters, Amy (Tom) Allen of Columbus, Gina Lee of Middleburg, Ohio, Denise Alexander of Columbus and Donna (Sam) Kennedy of Bellefontaine; 2 sons, Darrell (Sherry) Alexander of Plain City, Ohio and Mark (Leta) Alexander of Pennsylvania; 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Gary worked for Culligan in sales for twenty two years and retired in 2006. He served in the United States Air Force and attended the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine. He was an avid collector and enjoyed fishing and sports.

Calling hours will be Thursday, October 27, 2011, from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
