Gary Hill
Gary E. Hill, 65, formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio, went to be with his Lord Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Vitas Hospice in Naples, Florida after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Bellefontaine April 27, 1948, he was the beloved son of the late William L. and Leatrice (Parshall) Hill, and the devoted father to the late Jerry Hill.
He is the cherished brother of Timothy (Pam) Hill, Robert Hill and Theodore Hill all of Bellefontaine, and Connie (Mark) Carpenter of Lakeview, Ohio. Gary is kept in the heart of his fiancée, Elizabeth Saldana of Naples, Florida and remembered by his step-mother, Joan Hill of Russells Point, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A 1966 Bellefontaine High School graduate, Gary was a Job Placement Coordinator in Naples, Florida. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force after serving during the Vietnam War. A member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine, he was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, golf and many other outdoor activities. Gary was a lover of music and was an accomplished drummer playing in several bands. He was the happiest when he was helping others.
Gene Marine officiates an 11:00 A.M. funeral service Monday, November 25, 2013, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, November 24, 2013. Interment will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
