Gary E. Hogue

Gary E. Hogue, age 65, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 4:15 A.M. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Vancrest of Urbana in Urbana, Ohio. He was born in Kenton, Ohio July 16, 1952, to the late Richard E. Hogue and Coleen M. (Horner) Hogue, who survives in Bellefontaine. A brother, R. Elwood “Boss” Hogue also preceded Gary in death, July 7, 2015.

He is also survived by his sister, Sue (Bob) Godwin of West Liberty, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Chuck Taylor of Urbana.

Gary was veteran of the United States Army who served his country from 1972 to 1974. He enjoyed woodworking and participating in craft shows with his mother Coleen. Gary was a Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed crossword puzzles and Sudoku. He also loved his motorcycle and his cats.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine from 4 to 6 P.M.

Pastor Rick Riggs will officiate a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine.

The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
