Biography

Gary Leslie Smith, 54, of Lewistown passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 24, 2017 at his home. He was born in Sidney, Ohio on October 15, 1962 to LaDonna (McFarlin) Smith and the late Delbert Lee Smith

Gary is also survived by his two daughters, Tricia and Lacie Grow, both of Bellefontaine; two granddaughters, Skylee and Dalyla Angles; two brothers, William (Michelle Martin) Smith of Sidney and Terry (Pam) Smith of DeGraff; a half-sister, Linda Hanley of Toledo; a half-brother, David Davis of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.

Gary was a generous, down to earth guy who loved to be outdoors. He had worked in tree trimming, concrete construction, and at Lee’s Stove Shop. Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting and mushroom hunting. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and especially his dog “Sissy”.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff, Ohio. Per Gary’s request, there will be no funeral service.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
