Biography

Gavin Michael Pilkington, 4, of Bellefontaine passed away Monday morning, April 6, 2015 at Mary Rutan Hospital.

Gavin was born in Bellefontaine on June 12, 2010 to Joseph P. and Brittany (Cummins) Pilkington and they survive in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by two brothers, Cody and Jason Pilkington of Indian Lake; three sisters, Hailey Pilkington of Bellefontaine, Olivia Marlatt of Englewood and Cailin Pilkington of Indian Lake; maternal grandparents, Lori Cummins of Bellefontaine and Edward Cummins of Lewistown; paternal grandfather, Paul Pilkington, Sr. of Columbus; maternal great-grandmother, Beatrice Cummins of Bellefontaine; an aunt, Judy (Dave) Grimes of Quincy; three uncles, Jim Pilkington of Baltimore, OH, Brandon Skaggs and Steven Cummins.

Gavin was preceded in death by his brother Niall Pilkington on July 22, 2014, his grandmother, Karen Lewis Oder; and an aunt, Janette Wright.

Pastor C.J. Plogger will officiate a funeral service on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine at 1:00 pm, with visitation held two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Quincy.
