George L. Long II, 45, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Marion, Ohio on October 12, 1978, the son of James “Jim” (Fonda) Long and the late Janet K. Long. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, George L. Long and Anita Long.
He is survived by his father, James “Jim” and step-mother, Fonda, five siblings: Kizzy Blankenship, James Long, Jr., Ceonda (Donald) Vibbert, Tonya Long, and Tyler Long, four children: Eric (Allie Awbrey) Long, Georgia (TJ) Long, Gabrille Long, and Trenton Long, his fiancé’, Stacy Yelton, four step-children: Haylee Yelton, Rylee Yelton, Brantlee Yelton, Kinlee Yelton, three grandchildren, Kameron Elliot, Elliana Shipton, and Castiel Shipton.
George worked for S.Q. Stratosphere at the Honda Plant in East Liberty. He loved going fishing and camping and when he wasn’t at the lake or campsite, he loved riding motorcycles. He was an awesome backyard mechanic and enjoyed playing his guitar. He was a family man who was happiest when with his people, especially the grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. The family kindly requests those attending to dress casually and comfortably.
