Gerald D. Sink

Gerald D. Sink, 92, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.

Gerald was born in Greenville, Ohio on December 31, 1932, the son of the late Jesse and Kathryn (Wilson) Sink. 

He married Carmen O’Connor on July 23, 1955, and she preceded him in death on February 9, 2017. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Max Sink

Gerald is survived by a brother, James “Jim” (Barbara) Sink and a sister, Suann Welch and several nieces and nephews.

A veteran of the US Army, Gerald served his country during the Korean War. He worked for Knowlton Construction for 46 years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, caring for his cats, and mowing his grass while maintaining his property.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate Gerald’s funeral service on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 11:00am in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, where the family will receive friends from 10 until 11am. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm in Ansonia Cemetery on Wednesday, with military honors provided by the Darke County Veterans Honor Guard.
