Gerald Kress Snapp, 71, of Quincy, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Bay Care Alliant Hospital in Dunedin, Florida surrounded by his wife and a friend of forty years, Sonny Sword.
He was born in Logan County Ohio June 28, 1942, to the late Vernon and Mary Kress Snapp. He married the former Carol Ewing in May 2001, and she survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Shelley (Victor) Bond; a son, Jerry Snapp; two grandchildren, Tyler and Brady; six great grandchildren; two step-children, Tammy (Bryan) Henry and John (Jennifer) Engle and seven step-grandchildren.
Gerald graduated from Riverside High School in DeGraff, Ohio. He worked for Airstream, was a self-employed bee keeper and worked the Renaissance Festival where he was known as the “Basket Man”. He was a member of Boggs Lodge #292, Free & Accepted Masons in DeGraff.
Pastor Keith Matthews will officiate a memorial service at 6:00 P.M. Friday, April 4, 2014, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, Ohio. Calling hours will be held two hours prior to the memorial service with a Masonic Service beginning at 5:45 P.M.
The funeral arrangements were in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
