Geraldine “Gerry” Ann Henry, age 87, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, February 10, 2018, after a rapid decline from a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Gerry was born in Bellefontaine December 20, 1930, to the late Herb and Lucile Keagy.  On December 1, 1951, she married her high school sweetheart Carl Henry Jr. who preceded her in death February 15, 2013.  She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law Kit Heath.

Gerry is survived by her sister, Margaret Stringer of Bellefontaine along with her six children, Deborah (Sam) Shoe of DeGraff, Ohio, David (Barbara) Henry of Cincinnati, Ohio, Barbara Heath of Springfield, Ohio, Dianne (Jim) Gilley, Sheryl (Mike) LaBatt, and Dana Henry, all of Bellefontaine; sixteen grandchildren, Beth, Kevin, Shannon, Dustin, and Clinton, all of DeGraff, Alicia of West Liberty, Ohio, Allison of Chicago, Laura of Cincinnati, Brandi of New Carlisle, Ohio, Andrea of Springfield, Nathan, Devin, Kristin, and Aaron, all of Bellefontaine, Derek of Washington, D.C. and Danielle of Phoenix; twenty one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A 1948 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Gerry worked as a secretary at the Pentagon while her husband was stationed in Washington, D.C.  After starting a family, they moved back to Bellefontaine where Gerry was an avid reader and enjoyed her monthly bridge club with her longtime group of friends.  In her later years, she was able to enjoy traveling, weekend festivals and flea markets, and loved working in her flower beds.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but we can find comfort in knowing that she and Carl have been reunited in Heaven.
