Gertrude Buck

Gertrude A. Buck, 83, of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born August 28, 1929 in Geneva, New York, a daughter of the late Grover and Carrie (Fleece) Brown.

On June 12, 1951 in Rome New York, she married Benjamin Buck and he preceded her in death September 12, 1980. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Albert Brown.

She is survived by a daughter, Carrie (Jim Akers) Cavinder of Rushsylvania, Ohio; sons, Benjamin Buck II of Marysville, Ohio and Frank (Teresa) Buck of Kenton, Ohio; grandchildren, Shawn, Scott and Shannon Van Hoose, Freedom Cavinder, Trinity (Chet) Tavenner, Christopher (Makinizie) Cavinder, Kevin (Cindy) Williams, Jeremy (Heather) Buck, Janna (Jason) Hunt, Jennifer (Ryan) Thornburg, Jordy (Brittany) Buck, Jandra Buck, Bailey Thiel and twenty four great-grandchildren.

She worked as a dietician at the San Antonio Hospital in Kenton, Ohio and also at Kroger’s and Big Lots in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

She was a member of the Belle Center Presbyterian Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking.

Calling hours are Friday, March 22, 2013 from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center, Ohio.
