Gertrude Antonetta (Bensman) Deaubler, 91, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 19, 2010, at her daughter's residence in Zanesfield, Ohio. She was born in Putnam County, Ohio August 22, 1918, to the late Henry J. and Odelia C. (Miller) Bensman. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Hebert Bensman; a sister, Hildegard R. Bensman; son-in-law, Donald J. Hill; and grandson-in-law, Mark Roach.
Surviving is a son, Carl R. (Patricia “Lynn”) Deaubler of Minford, Ohio; three daughters, Carol M. (Mark) Elliott of West Mansfield, Ohio, Jo Ann Richards of Zanesfield, Ohio, and Janet R. Houser of Casa Grande, Arizona; three sisters, Geraldine H. Houck of Holgate, Ohio, Agnes M. Shadle of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Bernadine M. Houck of Continental, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Bernadette Bensman of Bellefontaine; six grandchildren, Donna, Penny, Stephanie, William, Natalie, and Mathew; and six great grandchildren, Ashley, Malia, Arionna, Clint, Alissa, and Kaylyn.
A member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine, Gertrude worked as a waitress at the Mt. Victory restaurant, managed a restaurant in East Liberty and had worked at Harding Machine.
Calling hours are Friday, April 23, 2010, from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine, with Father Patrick Sheridan officiating. Burial will be in the Hathaway Cemetery in West Mansfield, Ohio.
