Glenda Kay Zahller, 66, of West Liberty, died Wednesday morning, March 20, 2019, at her home following a battle with cancer.
She was born June 14, 1952, in Bellefontaine, the eldest child of Virgil P. and Margaret V. Miller Zahller, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sisters, Karen Zahller of West Liberty and Elaine Verdill of Windsor, Colo.; brother, Carl (Vicki) Zahller of West Liberty; and two nephews, Caleb (Cassie) Zahller of Dublin, Ohio, and Joshua Zahller of West Liberty.
Glenda graduated from Riverside High School in 1970 and obtained a bachelor of science degree from Miami University in 1974. She also studied writing at the University of Cincinnati. Her employment includ- ed several years as a technical writer for IBM.
Before moving back to Logan County in 2015, she lived in Cincinnati, Washington, D.C., and Phoenix. She enjoyed traveling and visited England, Italy and Israel.
An avid reader and gifted writer, Glenda enjoyed jazz, photography, classic movies, and genealogy. Her quick wit and boundless curiosity gave her the ability to converse and connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. A natural teacher, she could explain complex issues in simple language.
Calling is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Jubilee Mennonite Church, 169 N. County Road 32, Bellefontaine, where a memorial service begins at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Disaster Service.
The Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine assisted the family with arrangements.
