Glenn Nations


Glenn E. Nations, 80, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 10:50 P.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Logan Acres Center in Bellefontaine. He was born in Keller, Texas August 1, 1930, to the late Jesse J. Nations and Melinda Duckett Beasley. On March 25, 1951, he married the former Velma Baxter and she survives.

A United States Army veteran, he was a public school teacher for twenty seven years and a former pastor at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. Glenn enjoyed fishing, reading, traveling, taking cruises and was an author of two published books.

Additional survivors include three daughters; Sharon (David) Toler of Huntington, Texas, Deborah (Fredrick) Bomer of Russia, Ohio, and Lisa (Brent) Beale of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Nathan, David and Adam Toler, all of Texas, Trina (Joe) Kopus of Bellefontaine, Tiffany (Ken) Shepherd of Piqua, Ohio, Briana (Hank) Spangler of Nashville, Tennessee, Chelsea Clough of Russia, Ohio, Lance (Sara) Kelly of Lebanon, New Hampshire, Taylor Beale and Ian Beale both of Bellefontaine; seven great grandchildren; one niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

A graveside service will be conducted in Texas at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

The funeral arrangements were handled by the staff at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine.
