Glenn L. Strawser, 68, of Rushsylvania, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio November 30, 1944, to the late Truman Aubrey and Dorothy May (Miller) Strawser .
On September 7, 1968, he married Shirley Heminger in Rushsylvania and she survives along with two daughters, Christina Forsythe of Rushsylvania and Diana (Kelly) Mobley of Ridgeway, Ohio; his sisters, Gloria Daines of West Liberty, Ohio and Alice Strawser of Rushsylvania; eight grandchildren, Taylor, McKenzie, Alex, Travis, Kaylor, Emily, Evan and Landon, and several nieces and nephews.
A 1962 graduate of Rushsylvania High School, Glenn was a United States Army Veteran. He worked thirty years for Nash Finch/Super Foods, and was a volunteer for the Rushsylvania Fire Department for forty plus years. He enjoyed working on the fire trucks and loved to farm and read.
Pastor Fred Clogg will officiate the 11:00 A.M. funeral service Saturday December 8, 2012 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, December 7, 2012. Interment will be at the Rushsylvania Cemetery in Rushsylvania with Military Services preformed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
