Gregory A. Kerns, 65, of Ft. Myers and formerly of Bellefontaine passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 5, 2014. He was born in Bellefontaine on March 23, 1949 to the late Merlin and Betty Jo (Wehner) Kerns.
Greg was a 1967 graduate of Bellefontaine High School. Prior to moving to Florida, he worked at Thomas & Marker. While living in Florida, he worked in construction.
Greg is survived by his wife Carol (Henderson) Kerns of Ft. Myers, whom he married on Dec. 19, 1970; children: Ric (Kay) Kerns of Ft. Myers, FL , Alli (Doug) Ross of Orlando, FL and Amy Kerns of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren: Kylie and Dillon; brothers Steve (Kelly Costello) Kerns of Bellefontaine, Bo (Betty) Gillespie of Bellefontaine; mother-in-law: Betty Henderson; nephew Tim (Beth) Kerns; niece Katie Kerns; and brother-in-law Scott Henderson.
A memorial service will be held in Florida at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Institute via their website www.cancerresearch.org
The staff of Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine assisted the family.
