Gregory Michael Wearly

Gregory Michael “Mike” Wearly, age 68, of Urbana, Ohio passed away at 8:59 P.M. Friday, February 23, 2018 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born in Dayton, Ohio April 11, 1949, the son of the late Max Edwin and Frances Joan (McDonald) Wearly.

On March 14, 1970, he married Irmingard “Irma” Humiston and she survives in Urbana.

He is also survived by three children, Stephanie (Ty) Henderson of West Liberty, Ohio, Jason (Molly) Wearly and Shelby Wearly, both of Urbana; five grandchildren, Maria, Lincoln and Carter Henderson and Nolan and Max Wearly; two sisters, Debbie (Doug) Winchester of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Sandy (Bill) Messer of Powell, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mike was a 1967 graduate of West Liberty-Salem High School. He then served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971, where he worked as a Med Tech and earned the rank of E5. He later worked and retired as a Medical Technologist. He enjoyed music and playing golf. Mike also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events and activities.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty with military honors provided by the Logan County Veteran's Honor Guard.

The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.
