Hadyn Wise

Hadyn F. Wise, 99, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, Ohio. He was born September 18, 1911, in Maplewood, Ohio to the late Hamilton W. and Alberta M. (Hawver) Wise.

On May 11, 1935, he married Virginia L. Broaddus in Lewistown, Ohio, and she preceded him in death in March 2009. Hadyn is survived by two daughters, Carol Pennington of Augusta, Georgia and Susan K. Holsey of Bellefontaine; two grandsons, Kenneth E. (Carol) Shroyer and Hadyn (Heather) Shroyer; seven great grandchildren, and a special niece Letty Powers.

Hadyn worked for the United States Postal Service as a railroad mail clerk and retired after thirty three years of service.

A member of the Bellefontaine United Methodist Church since 1940, he was also a member of the Harrison Grange and the Farm Bureau.

Calling hours are Tuesday, April 12, 2011, from 1 to 3 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where Pastor Keith Matthews officiate the 3:00 P.M. funeral service. Interment will be in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
