Harold N. Heilman, 91, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine.
He was born March 6, 1922 in Meigs County, Ohio, to the late Norman and Helen (Reuter) Heilman. In December of 1954, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor (Riggs) Heilman. On November 19, 1955, he married Patricia M. (Fogarty) Heilman in Indianapolis, Indiana and she preceded him in death April 12, 2007. His sister, Mildred Ihle, also preceded him in death.
Surviving are his children, Linda (David) Karibo of Bellefontaine, Rosemary (Rex) Musser of West Liberty, Ohio, Patrick (Sandra) Heilman of Bellefontaine, and Ronald Heilman of Troy, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Harold was Vice President of Knowlton Construction in Bellefontaine where he started out as a carpenter. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion, Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge and life member of the V.F.W., all of Bellefontaine. Harold loved his family and enjoyed farming and raising cattle and horses.
Calling hours will be from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine Sunday, April 14, 2013. A private family graveside service will be held in the Bellefontaine Cemetery with Pastor Bill Walker officiating with military honors by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
