Harold “Bus” Jenkins, 91, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away December 16, 2010 at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty. He was born June 8, 1919 in Huntsville, Ohio, to the late John S. and Bertha (Bayless) Jenkins.
On December 18, 1937 he married Ellen (Murray) Jenkins in Muncie, Indiana and she preceded him in death July 30, 2006. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, John A., Lewis P., and Charles L. Jenkins and two sisters, Charlotte Harrold and Doris Sickles.
Surviving is a son, John (Jeanne) Jenkins of Bellefontaine, Ohio; three granddaughters, Jenifer (Andy) Schreiner of Bellefontaine, Jill (Matthew) Paul of Lawrence, Indiana, and Jody (James) Danaher of San Diego, California; one great grandchild, Ellen Paul; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bus retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation in Sidney, Ohio as an auditor. Prior to that, he worked in car sales for Bobb Motor Sales and Ed Gillespie Buick.
A member of the United Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Ohio, he was also a member of the B.P.O.E. # 132. He enjoyed working with horses and draft horses.
Gene Marine will officiate a graveside service Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Huntsville Cemetery.
