Harold David Wright of Bellefontaine died unexpectedly on Monday December 14, 2020 at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, OH.

Harold was born in Radnor, OH on December 3, 1938, the son of the late John and Theresa Wright who preceded him in death, as well as his infant son Kenny Wayne Wright.  He is survived by his brother Johnny (Sue) Wright of Houston TX and his sister, Delores (Tommy) Smart of Okeechobee FL.

In December 1965 he married his first wife Barbara Fogel of Delaware OH who survives him with their son Michael (Mary) Wright of Beavercreek OH and daughter Melessa Bahnsen of Ripley, OH and grandchildren Bernadette (Aaron) Wireman, Austin Bahnsen, and Morgan Bahnsen, and great-granddaughter Emma Wireman, along with several nieces and nephews.

In October 2005 he married Beverly Smith of Huntsville who survives him with stepchildren, Ramona (Brian) Fry of Dublin, OH, Sheila Steele of Traverse City, MI, and Paul Smith Jr. of MI. and 7 step-grandchildren.

Harold was a member of the Huntsville Methodist Church and the Sons of Amvets Post 39. He was also a Freemason.  He was a retired high school principal, educator, coach, and bus driver for Seneca East Local School District.  He enjoyed golfing with his son and friends and helping other seniors with their taxes.  He will be missed and remembered for his witty personality and servant’s heart.

He will be laid to rest in Radnor Cemetery in Radnor, OH. There will be a private remembrance in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Huntsville Methodist Church or the Sons of Amvets Post 39.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine is honored to serve the Wright family.
