Helen R. Coy, 67, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. She was born March 23, 1941 in Lewistown, Ohio, to the late William L. and Mary Onofer Harford.
She married George Coy Jr. on January 19, 1957, and he survives. She is also survived by sons, Tony (Barbara) Coy of Qunicy, Ohio, and Randolphe “Bozo” (Becky) Coy of Bellefontaine; daughters, Deb (Dave) Creps of Ada, Ohio; Beverly “Tub” Column of West Liberty, Ohio, and Cynthia “Sis” (Mike) Yelton of Bellefontaine; brother, David (Betty) Harford of Lewistown, Ohio; sisters Elaine (Clarence) White of Marion, Ohio, and Dorothy Harford of Bellefontaine; 23 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her special friend, Robert Simons of Pennsylvania. She is preceded in death by one grandson.
She was head cook at the Logan County C.A.C. and a waitress/cook at the Palm Grill. She attended the Bellefontaine Apostolic Temple and was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours will be from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. prior to the service. Pastor Robert L. Fries will officiate, and interment will follow at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
