Helen Joan Gratz

Helen Joan Gratz, age 94, of Waynesfield / Roundhead, Ohio passed away Friday morning, November 9, 2018 at 9:30 A.M. at her home.

She was born in Auglaize County Ohio October 13, 1924, to the late Raymond and Ferrol Campbell Davis.

On May 19, 1945, Helen married Maurice L. Gratz and he passed away April 12, 1991.  Helen was also preceded in death by brothers Roy, Dean, Robert, Richard, and Ronnie Davis, and sisters Jean Goble and Ruth Cummins.

She is survived by five children, Gene (Janice) Gratz of Lexington, Joyce (Lynn) Roebuck of Russells Point, Ohio, Jerry Gratz of Waynesfield, Jill (John) Lawrence of Alger, Ohio and Jack Gratz of Belle Center, Ohio; ten grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; six siblings, Roger Davis, Ned (Kathryn) Davis, Pat Cummins, and Sue Jeanneret, all of Wapakoneta, Donald Davis of Lakeview, Ohio and Jane Oakley of Santa Fe, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Helen was a homemaker and had previously worked at Acheson’s Grocery in Roundhead.  She attended the Roundhead Methodist Church and was an auxiliary member of the V.F.W. Post #8832 in Roundhead.  Helen enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, and her family most of all.

Visitation will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 2 to 5 P.M., and one hour prior to the funeral.

Pastor Bill Prater will officiate the funeral service Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Roundhead Cemetery.
