Helen M. Kaylor, 97, of Port Charlotte, Florida and formerly of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Gulf Coast Village in Cape Coral, Florida.
She was born in Bellefontaine June 25, 1916, to the late Edman and Rosetta (Shely) Wambaugh.
Helen was married to Harry Ivan Kaylor for forty seven years, and he preceded her in death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Viola Gowans, Carl Wambaugh, Thelma Patterson, Roberta Bush and an infant brother, Malcolm Wambaugh.
Helen is survived by nieces Carol Pollman of North Ft. Myers, Florida, Susan Chwastiak of Charlotte, North Carolina and a nephew, Dr. Larry Patterson of Kansas City, Missouri.
Helen and Ivan were the owners and operators of several Five & Dime Stores in the central Ohio area.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine and had attended business school in Columbus, Ohio. She was a realtor in Granville, Ohio prior to moving to Florida. Helen had also been a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #384 from 1952 to 1968.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
