Helen Kelley

Helen R. Kelley, 94, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 8:19 P.M. at Green Hills Center in West Liberty. She was born in Marion County, Ohio April 6, 1917, a daughter of the late Clyde Hedge and Faye (Corwin) Mercer, and was a 1935 graduate of Marion Harding High School.

On August 23, 1940, she married Henry E. Kelley in Marion County Ohio, and he preceded her in death May 14, 2006. Helen was also preceded in death by a daughter Jeannette E. Kelley and a brother, William D. Mercer.

She was a devoted homemaker and self employed business owner. Helen was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star and enjoyed reading, gardening and playing cards.

She is survived by a son, Richard (Louann) Kelley of Bellefontaine, Ohio; a daughter, Jean (Robert) Robinson of Russells Point, Ohio; grandchildren, Julie Schieldcastle, David Kelley, Jason Kelley, Todd Robinson and Kirsten Robinson Thomas, and eight great grandchildren.

The funeral service conducted by Pastor Chuck Temple, will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call two hours prior to the funeral. Interment will take place at the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
