Helen Liggitt

Helen Holliday Liggitt, age 99, formerly of Belle Center, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Emeritus at River Oaks in Englewood, Florida.

She was born August 7, 1914, to the late Walter Angus and Mary Jane (Smith) Holliday.

On May 19, 1941, she married Willis Hughes “Bill” Liggitt in Belle Center and he preceded her in death January 22, 1966.

Surviving is a daughter, Addajane (Dale) Wallace of Port Orange, Florida; her siblings, Virginia (Clarence) Harrah of Cadiz, Ohio and Walter A. Holliday of Tucson, Arizona.

A homemaker, Helen was a member of the Belle Center United Presbyterian Church. She graduated in 1933 from Cadiz High School and was a member of the Bellefontaine V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Daughters’ of 98 – Spanish American War.

Helen was interred at the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center Tuesday, July 22, 2014.

The staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Belle Center handled the arrangements for the family.
