Helen S. Mohr, age 88, of DeGraff, Ohio passed away at 9:45 P.M. Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born in Logan County Ohio November 6, 1928, to the late Joseph Ephran and Thelma Rebecca (Young) Jackson.
On July 13, 1947, Helen married Richard Eugene Mohr in Newport, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death July 29, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her three sisters, Eva Brenner, Emma Cloninger, and Katherine Danner and four brothers, John, Robert, Bill, and Paul Jackson.
Helen is survived by her three sons, Richard (Debra) Mohr, Robert (Kathy) Mohr, and Christopher (Becky Jenkins) Mohr; six grandchildren, Kelly (Eric) Bell, Jill (Mike) Daniels, Jennifer (Dennis) Doseck, Angela (Jason) Laskodi, Kristan Bryant, and Nicholas (Paige) Mohr; seven great grandchildren, Harley Asbury, Hannah Asbury, Hadlie Asbury, Luke Doseck, Brooke Bryant, Markus Laskodi, and Nolan Mohr; two brothers, Charles “Sonny” (Charlotte) Jackson and Howard “Bud” Jackson and several nieces and nephews.
Helen and her husband owned and operated Mohr’s Market in DeGraff for twenty five years. She attended the Stony Creek Church and enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, sewing, and reading to the students at Riverside Elementary School.
Pastor Ryan Claybough will officiate the funeral service at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff, where visitation will be held from 2 to 4 P.M. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.
The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
