Helen Catherine Siebeneck, 96, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, February 3, 2015 at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio January 3, 1918, to the late Joseph C. and Ellen Mary (O’Brien) Penwell.
Helen was married first to Lawrence Stevens and later to Leonard Siebeneck. Both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rosella Siebeneck; a brother and sister, Joseph Penwell and Virginia Luers; grandchildren, Carol Ann Coil and Rodney Lautenschlager, and a great grandchild, Austin Houser.
Surviving are her children, Mary Ellen (John) Allen of Las Vegas, Nevada, Patricia Ann Lautenschlager of Columbus, Ohio, Carol Rose Houser of West Mansfield, Ohio, Carl M. (Marcia) Siebeneck of Bellefontaine, Mary Fogle (Ed) Kise of West Mansfield, Anthony P. “Tony” (Therese) Siebeneck of Toledo, Ohio, and Cathy Jo (David) Mobley of Rushsylvania, Ohio; twenty four grandchildren, Raymond Pohlman of Sacramento, California, LouAnn (Larry) Mills, Pamela (Donald) Green, Georgia (Marc) Washington and Mark Pohlman, all of Las Vegas, NV, Bill (Cindy) Boddie of Westpoint, Mississippi, David (Amanda) Allen of Saginaw, Michigan, Mary Theresa McKinley of Johnstown, Ohio, Darrell (Sonny) McKinley of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Jacob (Charnell) Coil of West Mansfield, Floyd Coil of Johnstown, Yvonne (Leon) Schmucker and Ellenna Houser of Rushsylvania, Shane and Amber (Siebeneck) Austin of Rushsylvania, Elizabeth Fogle (Sean) Young of Dayton, Ohio, Aaron Fogle of Mantua, Ohio, Ian Patrick Fogle of West Mansfield, Matthew, Luke, Emily and Paul Siebeneck of Toledo and Nick Mobley of Rushsylvania; step-grandchildren, Michelle Roberts and Melanie Maynard of Bellefontaine and Dustin Mobley of Rushsylvania; forty nine great grandchildren and twenty great-great grandchildren.
A homemaker, Helen was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine. She enjoyed baking, sewing and helping out at the church.
The service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
The staff of the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
