Helen Jane Warwick

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Jane Warwick, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and a true matriarch, who peacefully journeyed into eternity on September 15, 2023, at the remarkable age of 99. Her journey through life was a testament of dedication to her family, and unwavering faith in God.

Born on November 19, 1923, in Rome, Georgia to the late William Elder and Lucille (Morris) Blanchard, Helen Jane Warwick graced this world with her presence for nearly a century. Helen’s family was at the center of her world, and she was the foundation upon which generations were built.

Helen married William Marion Warwick and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2006. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Kimeta Warwick Dover; her sister, Eloise Terhune; and nephew, James Alan Terhune.

She is survived by her son, William Kirwan Warwick; grandchildren: Madelyn Warwick, Candice (Mark) Stevens, Adoria Dover, Kirk (Carrie) Dover, great grandchildren: Amryn Dover, Auri Dover, Jarrett Dixon, Khyler Dover, great-great grandchild, Gio Dixon; nieces: Diana Terhune Branham and Sherry Terhune Rosser and numerous other nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Moses Eldridge.

Helen Jane Warwick found joy in demonstrating her commitment to community and church, playing bass guitar, praise dancing, and writing poetry, which she generously shared with her loved ones. Her creativity and passion for life were evident in all that she did, and she had a zest for life that was truly infectious. May her soul find eternal peace, and may we find comfort in the cherished memories she gifted us.

Pastor Settle W. Townsend, Jr. will officiate a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at the Auburn Avenue Baptist Church, 216 E Auburn Ave, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Visitation will be one hour prior from 11:00 to 12:00 at the church. Cremation will follow and an inurnment will take place at a later date.
