Biography

Herbert M. Johnson Sr., 72, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away at Kettering Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio at 6:34 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

He was born in Powell Station, TN on May 12, 1944 to the late Levette and Martha Johnson. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Johnson; four brothers; and one sister.

Surviving is his wife, Barbara (Jones) Johnson; a daughter, Debra Rensil; two sons, Herbert Johnson Jr. and Allen Johnson; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Juanita Johnson.

Herb retired from Super Foods. He loved wrenching and fixing things. Herb also enjoyed hunting, making garden, his hummingbird feeder and all nature. He always went out of his way to help people and never knew a stranger.

A hard worker and good hearted loving father, Herb will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Services will be held a later date.
