Holly Tipple, age 49, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Monday afternoon, January 15, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio after complications from pneumonia.
Holly was born in Bellefontaine November 14, 1968, to Lena (Corwin) Coleman and the late George A. Coleman.
Holly attended the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine and was a 1987 Bellefontaine High School graduate. Holly then graduated from The Ohio State University in 1990 and earned her master’s degree in 1995 from Wright State University. Holly taught Spanish and English in the Jackson Center Schools for twenty eight years. Teaching was her passion. Holly was extremely respected and an award-winning teacher. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Harry Potter books. Holly loved her cats and being around her niece and nephews.
Holly is survived by her husband, Bill Tipple whom she married July 31, 2004 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church. She is also survived by her mother, Lena Coleman of Bellefontaine; a brother, Scott (Audreau) Coleman of Zanesfield, Ohio; nephews and niece, Utah, Montana, and Nevada Coleman; her mother and father-in-law, Bill and Marilyn Tipple of LaGrange, Ohio; special friends, Debbi Tussing and Cathy Tenney and all her current and former students.
Visitation will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 3 to 7 P.M.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bellefontaine, with Father Shawn Landenwitch officiating.
