Howard H. Heminger, 95, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty, Ohio.
He was born September 15, 1916 in Mechanicsburg, Ohio to the late Harry Benjamin and Letha M. (Shibler) Heminger.
On January 30, 1937, he married Esther Mae Graham in Richmond, Indiana, and she preceded him in death March 15, 2007. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Alspaugh; his brothers, Donald and Robert Heminger; and sisters, Martha Norviel and Verna Roush.
Surviving are two sons, William (Naomi) Heminger and Larry (Doris) Heminger, both of West Liberty; two daughters, Shirley (Glenn) Strawser of Rushsylvania, Ohio and Cheryl (Keith) Brautigam of Bellefontaine; his siblings, Herman (Jimmie) Heminger of Alexandria, Louisiana, and Leo (Donna) Heminger of Bellefontaine; ten grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
After thirty three years of service, Howard retired August of 1981 from Super Foods as a Retail Coordinator. A member of the Church of the Brethren in Bellefontaine, he was an avid Reds and Cincinnati Bengals fan.
An 11:00 A.M. graveside service will be held Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio with Pastor Fred Clogg officiating.
