Imogene “Jean” Castle, 66, of Lakeview passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 at her home. She was born in Meade, Ohio on April 19, 1949 to the late Cecil and Elizabeth (Jarrel) Johnson. Imogene married Andy M. Castle, Jr. on August 8, 1964 in Kingston, Ohio and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2009. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Christina Clary, granddaughter Shelby Young, a great-grandson Dawson Clary and four sisters Thelma Metler, Frances Scarberry, Brenda Harris and Nina Hamilton.
A homemaker, Imogene enjoyed to read, work crossword puzzles and shop. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were dear to her heart and she loved the time spent with them.
Imogene is survived by her children: Jimmy Castle of Lakeview, Donna (Jeffery) Castle Young of Lakeview and Brian (Dixie) Castle of Bellefontaine; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers: Ellsworth “Bub” Johnson of Circleville, Robert Johnson of Chillicothe, Orville Johnson of Delaware, Ohio and William “Billy” Johnson of Ashville, Ohio; a sister Mary Sumner of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 12:30pm at the Huntsville Cemetery.
The Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine assisted the family with arrangements.
