Iris M. Angle, 90, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning December 12, 2012, at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, Ohio.
She was born in Marion, Ohio November 22, 1922, to the late Fred and Mary Atha Everly. Her mother passed away when Iris was four, and was adopted by the late Elza and Matilda Wooley Mouser of West Liberty when she was almost nine.
Iris married Roy L. Angle June 10, 1941 in Springfield, Ohio, and he preceded her in death September 3, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marguerite Sullivan; a brother, Kenneth Welty and two grandchildren, Suzanne Lynn Angle and Jonathan Brian Angle.
Iris is survived by two daughters, Barbara Lee (Richard) Neer of Sidney, Ohio and Linda Kay “Lynn” (Gary) McLaughlin of Bellefontaine; two sons, David Roy (Mikell “Mickey”) Angle of Hastings, Michigan, and Michael James (Nancy) Angle of Bellefontaine; eleven grandchildren, Andy Barger, Susan Yee, Mark Barger, Teresa (David) Linville, Jennifer Tillman, Nick (Mindy) Tillman, Stacy (Greg) Penhorwood, Shelly (Jon) Hart, Patrick (Tara) Angle, Bart Angle, Brad Angle; twenty three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A 1940 graduate of West Liberty High School, she was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, where she founded the Warm Clothes for Kids program, Martha Circle, the Garden Club, and the Pleasant Hill Club.
The funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Ed Beale and Aaron Francis officiating. A calling hour will be held at the church prior to the service starting at 10 A.M. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.
