Jack H. Reprogle, 78, of Huntsville, Ohio, was called to heaven and began his everlasting life with the Lord Thursday, June 10, 2010 while at Logan Acres Nursing Home, Bellefontaine, Ohio. His is praising the Lord in his new home and is enjoying his new “perfect” body.

He was born in Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio February 4, 1932. He was the son of the late Harry E. and Margaret (Leister) Reprogle. A brother, Robert Reprogle, preceded him in death. His sister, Maxine Berton, 94, lives in a nursing home in Centerville, Ohio.

On March 25, 1964, he married the former Bonnie Lou Spellman. Rev. Harold Stafford married them at the Perry Methodist Church near Lima, Ohio. She survives along with four sons, Douglas (Coleen) Reprogle of Huntsville, Jeffrey (Leah) Reprogle of Lima, Steven “Biskit” Reprogle of Bellefontaine and Mark “Opie” (Christine) Reprogle of Medina, Ohio; and a daughter, Jaclyn (Steven) Stein of Lima. He was blessed with eleven grandchildren, Elisa (Cameron) Klump of Taiwan, Erica (Stephen) James of Bellefontaine, Tatum and Tyler Reprogle of Huntsville, Zane and Hunter Reprogle and Aubrey Breitigan of Lima, Tia and Spencer Stein of Tennessee, Olivia Stein of Lima, and Isaac Reprogle of Medina, and nephew, Don (Carolyn) Berton of Centerville, Ohio.

He was a graduate of Bellefontaine High School class of 1950 and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the First Born which was written in heaven, Hebrews 12:23, and a just man made perfect, only by the blood of Jesus. II Timothy 4:7 was his goal in life, to fight a good fight of faith and keep it, then finish his course. When at the end of his journey, he looked forward to laying hold of eternal life through Jesus in heaven. His greatest joy in life was to preach the Word of God.

He was saved at the Hillcrest Baptist Church and later attended the First Church of God both in Bellefontaine. In 1978 he was called by God to preach at the Russells Point Church of God at Russells Point, Ohio. He lived and ministered there for sixteen years. Over the last seven years of his life he attended the West Liberty Church of God in West Liberty, Ohio.

Rev. Ron Irick will officiate the funeral service Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Church of God in Bellefontaine with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. Calling hours are Monday, June 14, 2010, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Huntsville Cemetery with Military Honors by the Logan County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Gideon’s International or the West Liberty Church of God Building Fund in Jack’s honor.
