Jacqueline Purtee-Godinez

Jacqueline Denise Purtee-Godinez, 56, of Sidney, passed away at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at her home. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on April 20, 1960 to the late Lewis and Lillie (Beair) Purtee.

On December 27, 2000, Jackie married Nestor Godinez in Sidney, Ohio, and he survives, along with four children, Adela (Jesus) Godinez, Nestor Godinez, Rigo (Isabel) Godinez, and Oziel (Elisa) Godinez; nine grandchildren; five sisters, Peg (Jerry) Weidner, Linda Purtee, Janie (Max) McIntire, Debra (Everett) Shade, and Phyllis (Rodger) Jones; four brothers, Texas (Sylvia) Purtee, Rick (Becky) Purtee, Rex Purtee, and Terry (Tina) Purtee; two half-brothers, Art (Carol) Purtee and Joe (Mary Jane) Purtee; and several nieces and nephews.

Jackie had worked as a packer at Freshway Foods and enjoyed dancing, word searches, and crossword puzzles. She loved her family, most especially her grandchildren, sisters and brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
