Jaimi Linn Smith, 31, of West Mansfield, Ohio, died Monday, September 1, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
She was born in Marion on March 19, 1977, a daughter of Daniel and Jacalyn Gardner Smith, who survive in West Liberty, Ohio.
Survivors include a brother, Jeremy (Amber) Smith of Xenia, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Eileen Smith of West Liberty; maternal grandmother, Pauline Gardner of Ocala, Florida.; niece, Paige Smith of Xenia; nephew, Evan Smith of Xenia; and best friend, Dwayne Detrick of West Mansfield.
She attended Hi-Point Church of Christ and was a 1995 graduate of West Liberty-Salem High School, where she played basketball and taught Spanish to younger children.
An aesthetician and make up artist, she was a manager at Back Stage Studios in Dublin and worked at Trade Winds Day Spa in Bellefontaine. She also served as an intermediate EMT for the Bokescreek Volunteer Fire Department and was a published poet.
Pastor Andy Stidham will conduct the funeral service at 7 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2008, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are three hours prior to the service.
