James M. Greer, 74, of Huntsville passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in Logan Acres Care Center.
He was born in Logan County, Ohio on September 3, 1942, the son of the late Ernest R. and Leota Fern (Kauffman) Greer.
On February 14, 1965 he married Sharon ‘Sherry’ Berry in West Liberty and she survives along with his two sisters, Valeda Wentz and Bonnie
(James) Faber, a nephew, Doug (Catherine) Faber and a great nephew, Justin Faber, all of Leesburg, Florida and close friends, Don & Karla Stevens of Bellefontaine.
Jim began working at
Wolfheim's
part-time while still in school. After graduating Jim served in the U.S. National Guard. He purchased
Huber's
and later also purchased
Buchenroth’s
combining the two into
Huber-Buchenroth’s,
which he owned and operated for many years and was well-known for his personable service and genuine care for all who entered.
A favorite pastime of Jim and Sherry's was travelling in their RV across the country.
He had a passion for music that began at a young age along with his sisters. That same passion carried through later to his band,

Pastor Rose Marie Michael will officiate the funeral service on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private burial in Huntsville Cemetery will be held at a later time.
