James Sanders

James “Jim” F. Sanders, 76, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, went to be with his Lord Sunday, June 6, 2010. Jim passed away peacefully in his residence. He was born in Xenia, Ohio January 20, 1934, the son of the late James F. and Agnes Mary (Hughes) Sanders.

On June 22, 1987, he married Tina L. Briggs in Roundhead, Ohio and she survives. He is also survived by sons, Danny J. (Melissa) Sanders of South Charleston, Ohio, Jonathan S. Sanders of Johnstown, Ohio; step-son, Scott Holbrook of Youngstown, Ohio; daughters, Rose L. White and Vicki Dover, both of South Charleston, Ohio, Lisa K. Sanders of Springfield, Ohio; step-daughter, Amanda (Rodney) Roush of Sidney, Ohio; brothers, Robert Sanders, Jack Sanders, Kenny Sanders, Donnie Sanders, all of Xenia, Ohio, and Jerry Sanders of Jamestown, Ohio; brother-in-law, Lee Rausch of Missouri; sisters, Edith Wilson of Wilmington, Ohio and Carol Cooper of Sabina, Ohio; several grandchildren, Amanda, Rusty, Brandi, Chad, Cortney, Sandy, Brent, Brittany, Kelli, Christopher, Dylan, Savanah, Allison, Ashley, and Amanda; several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim retired from Super Foods where he worked as a supervisor and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean War. He enjoyed farming, working with the farm animals, being outdoors, and was an avid fair goer at the Hardin County Fair. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Calling hours are from 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 11, 2010 in the funeral home with David Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center, Ohio.
