James Bert Skaggs

James (Jim) Bert Skaggs, age 54, of Lakeview, Ohio lost his battle with cancer at 11:29 A.M. Monday, August 7, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio June 11, 1963, the son of the late Bert and Katherine Skaggs.

He is survived by five children, Shaunna (Stephen) Trask, Dustin Skaggs, James Dylan Skaggs, Jeff (Cara) Skaggs, and Amy Skaggs; two sisters, Sandra Folk and Cynthia (Johnny) Cupps; two brothers, Mark Skaggs and Kenneth Skaggs along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Jimmy loved to joke and play around. He was always one to be the first to break the silence with a wise crack. He was a huge NASCAR fan and an even bigger Cleveland Brown's fan. But his favorite thing in the world were his children. Jimmy loved his children very much and there was never a time he wasn't proud of them. He spoke about them as much as possible and loved it when you'd ask him about them. He loved his family and friends dearly and was very grateful for all that had been done for him.

Per Jim’s request, his body was cremated.

The arrangements were in care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
