James Dale Wells, 63, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009, at his residence. He was born on July 10, 1946 in Waynesfield, Ohio, to the late Russell and Mary Ellen (Nichols) Wells.
He is survived by a son, Nelson (Beth) Wells of Springfield, Ohio; two daughters, Patty Wells of Kokomo, Indiana, and Terri (Dewey) Mason of Urbana, Ohio; one brother, Russell “Butch” Wells of New York; four sisters, Joyce (Donald) Jenkins of DeGraff, Ohio, Elba (Alan) Post of Bellefontaine, Connie Kinnear and Sharon Ropp, both of Forest; five grandchildren, Jimmy, Roxanne, Chelsea, Kayla & Kyle; four great grandchildren and several nieces.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Harvey Wells.
Jim worked for National Extrusion & Mfg. Co. and was a self employed contractor. A collector of antique toy cars, he enjoyed working on cars and fishing.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M on Friday, October 2, 2009, at the Bellefontaine Cemetery with Pastor Bryan Meadows officiating.
The Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine assisted the family with the arrangements.
