Jane Snyder

Jane Snyder, 86, of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away at 5:58 P.M. Monday, December 28, 2009, at the Green Hills Retirement Community in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born in Champaign County on April 12, 1923, a daughter of the late Thomas and Adeline McIntosh Ahern.

On October 20, 1945, she married Harry David Snyder and he preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a son, Harry David Snyder Jr.; and a sister, Kathleen Watson.

Survivors include a son, William R. (Jyl) Snyder of Springfield, Ohio; two daughters, Joyce Ann Kesler and Barbara J. McDonald, both of Huntsville; a sister, Georgia Spiker of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A homemaker, Jane was a graduate of Urbana High School and a member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine.

Gene Marine will conduct the funeral service at 10 A.M. Thursday, December 31, 2009, at the Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home in West Liberty, where calling hours are from 4 to 6:30 P.M. December 30, 2009. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
