Janet Louise Forster

Janet Louise Forster, age 76, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away at 10:23 A.M. Friday, December 22, 2017, at her residence.

She was born in Bellefontaine September 16, 1941, to the late Bert Edward and Mary “Peggy” Louise Knotts.

On December 3, 1998, she married Herbert F. Forster Jr. and he preceded her in death March 26, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her God parents, Ruskin and Betty Tansel and Alvin and Mary Moore and her step-father, Charlie Cozad.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Dal) McDonald of Bellefontaine; her son, Brent (Mindy) Moore of West Mansfield, Ohio; Gina Winegardner of Bellefontaine who was like a daughter; a step-daughter, Cheryl (Chris) Harman and a step-son, Steve (Bonnie) Forster all of Bellefontaine; a step-sister, Becky Cozad of California; a step-brother, Tim (Diane) Cozad of Rockport, New York; eleven grandchildren, Drew and Aubrie Erwin, D.J. and Mia McDonald, Coleton and Caleb Nunn, Kinsey, Katie, and Dustin Harman, Holly Reed, and Tyler Forster; two great grandchildren, Mya and Grayson Reed and several nieces and nephews.

Janet was a long-time member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine where she served as a Deacon. She also served as a volunteer for the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild since 1994. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends and loved going out with her neighbors, the Stoner girls.

Janet had a soothing presence and a warm comforting personality who loved doing things for others.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.

Pastor Bob Thornton will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine.

Burial will be at the Bellefontaine Cemetery.

The funeral arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
